So of course, like usual Mom was right. I was talking to her about my new workout plan and she made a point of saying that I should just wake up and do my workout first thing in the morning...which at first I wasn't too keen on since that is usually the LAST thing I want to do when I wake up but of course she was right. I woke up this morning and got dressed for my workout, did it, and then took my shower and now I'm done! As Mom said, so many times if you wait to do your workout till later in the day...things just come up or you are too tired and if you do it right away then it's over and done and you can get on this your day! Yay Mom!
As for the actual workout, it was a little harder than day one only because my body is still a little sore from the other day but other than that, it was totally fine. I felt like it was a good workout and that it was challenging but not SO challenging that I felt like I couldn't do it. The tricky part is that I am heading out of town tomorrow for about 5 days and I will not be able to continue my workout plan so I have to get right back on it when I return.
Also, Yesterday was not the greatest day nutrition wise...it started off pretty good (with Turkey Chili, little fat and lots of veggies!) but then Cara came over and so several beers were had, and then Nick and I went out to dinner with Nick's Dad and I can't believe I ordered CREAM of crab soup! I mean it has CREAM in the title....oh well. I have to say I was plesently surprised to find that I actually did not gain more weight from yesterday, but still. Not cool, Jackie, not cool. Anyways, I think I am off to a good start today by getting my workout in right away (thanks Mom!)
More in a couple of days when I return!
hahaha, don't worry about splurging on things with cream in them every once in awhile! the best way to KEEP to a diet is to go off of it in some small way every so often. I've been "eating healthy" for the past few years, and I'm most successful during the time periods where I allow myself some little splurge once a week.
ReplyDeleteDoing the exercise will help balance it out =) So you might not lose weight if you splurge a little too much, but you won't gain any either. You're doing great! Don't beat yourself up too much =)

Keep up the hard work Jackie! I know how you feel though. I'm in the process of getting into major shape for this upcoming audition season and there is so much to think about. Another great place to try and I use it is sparkpeople.com..Its an online place to track calories and workouts plus you get great advice from others doing the same exact thing. You can blog but you don't have to. Its nice to have people who are dealing with the same thing, all shapes and sizes. Weight training is great as well and I've noticed a change with adding that into my workouts as well.
